MotoGP Salaries 2026 - rider salaries & wage bills
A MotoGP contract pays a rider two ways. The retainer is fixed and is what the table below ranks: what the team owes before a single point is scored. On top of it sits performance money, paid per podium, per win and per championship, which on the biggest deals on the grid runs to seven figures again. The 2026 grid is 21 riders and $75,665,000 in retainers, and Ducati Lenovo pays $24,750,000 of it. After 13 of the 22 rounds those riders have scored 2,253 championship points between them. Set one against the other and the grid's best value is Ai Ogura at $1,601 a point, against Maverick Vinales at $417,500. Sixteen of the 21 contracts end with the 2026 season.
