HIL auction 2025
The 7 Hockey India League teams bought 30 players for ₹3.307 crore at the 2025 auction. Liam Henderson went for the most, ₹42 lakh to the Vedanta Kalinga Lancers, and Sander de Wijn and Thies Prinz were next at ₹36 lakh. Every figure is the price a player was bought for at the league's auction, which is his fee for the season that follows. The league came back in 2024 with a full auction, at which each of the eight teams bought 24 players out of a purse of ₹4 crore. The 2025 auction was a smaller one to fill the places around the players each team retained, and a retained player is not bought, so he is not in these figures. The UP Rudras bought in 2025 under the name of the league's governing council, which ran the team for the 2026 season.
