Albania athletics prize money
Albania has taken $8,750 out of athletics, 120th of the 130 countries the sport has paid. Luiza Gega is the only athlete on it, on $8,750.
All of it belongs to one athlete by name. Albania has never been paid a relay purse, a World Relays ladder place or a cross country team standing, which are the three things that pay a federation rather than a person.
Every Albania athlete athletics has paid
1 of them, biggest first
| # | ATHLETE | PAID | WINS | TOTAL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Luiza Gega | 5 | - | $8,750 |
Career totals across all six competitions, not a single season. PAID is how many finishing places were paid for, which is a different count from wins: a second place in a Diamond League final and a world title are both one payment. One of these athletes has a page of their own here.
Where the money comes from
All six competitions, and what each has sent Albania
| COMPETITION | ATHLETES | WINS | TO ATHLETES | TO FEDERATION | TOTAL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Diamond League | 1 | - | $8,750 | - | $8,750 |
| World Championships | - | - | - | - | - |
| Indoor Championships | - | - | - | - | - |
| Ultimate Championship | - | - | - | - | - |
| World Relays | - | - | - | - | - |
| Cross Country | - | - | - | - | - |
| All six | 1 | 0 | $8,750 | - | $8,750 |
The Diamond League is the biggest of the six for Albania on $8,750, 100% of the national total. It is also the only one of the six that has ever paid Albania anything. Albania has won nothing at the World Championships, the World Indoor Championships, the Ultimate Championship, the World Relays and the World Cross Country Championships.
The ATHLETES column adds up to 1 because no Albania athlete has been paid by more than one of the six. Where one has, the same person is counted in every row that paid them and once in the national total.
Albania against the rest
Where $8,750 puts Albania
That is under 0.1% of the $135,290,875 athletics has paid to a country, and 120th out of 130. Albania has Benin above on $9,750 and GAB below on $6,000.
The biggest of the 130 is the United States on $29,436,125, which is 21.8% of everything the sport has paid to a country. The full money list ranks every one of them, and the six competitions behind these figures each have a section of their own.
