WTA Finals prize money

The WTA Finals pays $5,235,000 to a player who wins all five matches in Riyadh, the largest cheque in the sport and more than the US Open pays its champion. The money stacks: a fee, then a figure for every match won.

The money stacks, which nothing else in tennis does. A player is paid for completing the group stage, then again for every match won, and every figure is added to the last, so the $5,235,000 an unbeaten champion takes is a sum rather than a single cheque. The WTA pays it over 1 to 8 November 2025 at the King Saud University Indoor Arena, Riyadh.

Winning the final $2.5m
Winning the semi-final $1.3m
Winning a round-robin match (x3) $1.1m
Playing three round-robin matches $340k

What the fund adds up to

The WTA Finals announced $15,500,000. The draws on this page account for $12,100,000 of it, and we do not hold the remaining $3,400,000 round by round. Every figure above is a rate that was paid: what one player in that round was handed.

  • The singles draw carries $12,400,000 of the fund and the doubles $3,100,000.
  • A round-robin win in the doubles is worth $72,000 per pair, and an unbeaten pair takes $1,139,000.
  • A champion who lost one group match takes $4,880,000 rather than $5,235,000.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the WTA Finals prize money in 2025?

$15,500,000. The draws below account for $12,100,000 of it; we do not hold the remaining $3,400,000 round by round.

How much does the WTA Finals winner get?

$5,235,000 for winning all five matches. That is $340,000 for completing the group stage, $355,000 for each of the three group wins, $1,290,000 for the semi-final and $2,540,000 for the final, added together. Elena Rybakina won it in 2025.

Does WTA Finals prize money add up match by match?

Yes, and it is the only shape in tennis that does. A major pays once, for the round a player went out in. The finals pay a fee and then a figure for every match won, so the $355,000 for a group win is collected up to three times and everything after it is added on top.
