Wimbledon prize money
Wimbledon put £64,200,000 on the table in 2026. The singles champions took £3,600,000 each, and a player beaten in the first round left with £80,000 - more, between the 128 of them, than the two champions collected together.
A player is paid once, for the round they went out in. The figure is the whole of it rather than a step on the way to it, so somebody who lost in the last eight took £480,000 and not that plus every round beneath it. Add the eight figures up as a ladder and the champion alone would be on £7,471,000, against the £3,600,000 the All England Club actually pays.
