DARTS · 2015 TO 2024

Masters prize money

The PDC has paid £2.2m across the ten editions of the Masters we hold, from 2015 to 2024. The 2024 pot was £275,000 between 24 players, an invitation event for the top of the Order of Merit, with no qualifiers and no way in from outside it, and Stephen Bunting took £65,000 of it.

A darts player is paid once, for where the run ended, so every pound of a pot lands on exactly one player and the ten pots below add up to the £2,190,000 the field has shared. Michael van Gerwen has taken more out of the Masters than anyone else: £362,000 from ten appearances. Every one of the ten was played at Arena MK, Milton Keynes.

season running total

The prize fund has gone from £200,000 in 2015 to £275,000 in 2024, which is £75,000 more and 38% up. Winning it has moved with it, from £60,000 to £65,000, and the champion's share of the pot has gone from 30% to 24%. The dimmer column behind each season is the running total, which reaches £2,190,000.

What each finishing place pays

The six bands at the 2024 Masters

Arena MK, Milton Keynes
Winner £65,000 One player, beat Michael van Gerwen in the final
Runner-up £30,000 One player, lost the final to Stephen Bunting
Semi-finalists £20,000 Two players, lost in the semi-finals
Quarter-finalists £12,000 Four players, lost in the quarter-finals
Last 16 £7,500 Eight players, lost in the round of 16
Last 24 £4,000 Eight players, lost the first match

Nothing here stacks. A player who lost in the semi-finals collected £20,000 and not that plus every band beneath it, which is why the six bands come to £275,000 rather than to the £138,500 a ladder reading would put on the champion alone. The 2024 rate card has the players in each band and what the band paid out.
